Updated Version of A WorkLife FrameWork.

Posted on: Sunday 11/26, 2006;  9:54 PM

We have recently released version 1.1.1 of A WorkLife FrameWork.  This is a free upgrade for all current paid users.

To upgrade your current version simply take the following steps.

1) Clear the disk cache on your browser (this is important if you have already downloaded  version 1.1.1, as the most recent copy on the Scientific Arts servers is the correct one to use).

2) Download version 1.1.1 from the link at the bottom of the page

http://scientificarts.com/worklife/purchase/download/licenseagreement.html

The archive is called  WorkLifeFrameWorkArchive111.zip

3) Extract the archive.

4) If you have Mathematica open, quit Mathematica.   Then restart Mathematica, but do not start A WorkLife Framework, (If you do start A WorkLife Framework, the installation will still work, but you will need to restart Mathematica and then restart A WorkLife FrameWork for the updated version to work.)

5) Open the InstallWorkLifeFrameWork.nb notebook that is within the WorkLifeFrameWork folder (this is the same folder that the ReadMeFirst.nb notebook is in). Use Mathematica version 5.2 or 5.1.  (If you are a Beta tester for Mathematica 6, be sure to open the file directly from Mathematica version 5.2 or 5.1.)

6) When the InstallWorkLifeFrameWork.nb notebook opens, click on the "Install The WorkLife FrameWork" button.

7) When the installation is completed the password entry dialog will open.  There is no need to re-install your password—you may click on "Close" on this palette.

8) Now start A WorkLife FrameWork.

9) To check that the 1.1.1 version is now installed you can execute

$WorkLifeFrameWorkVersion

This should return the string  1.1.1

All of your settings should be preserved.

to view the changes since version 1.0

I appreciate your purchase and use of A WorkLife FrameWork!

Please feel free to suggest potential future features.  You can send such suggestions to worklife@scientificarts.com.

And, since the marketing budget for of A WorkLife FrameWork is exceedingly modest, please let other Mathematica users know that you find it valuable.
